What we do:

Therapeutic Riding of Tucson (TROT) has been making a difference in the lives of children, adults, and veterans living with disabilities for 48 years. Co-founded in 1974 by a physical therapist and an equine specialist as an alternative to traditional therapy approaches, TROT began providing services to individuals with disabilities. It was one of the first programs of its kind in the United States.

TROT continues to be a leader in innovative and therapeutic therapies by maintaining a distinguished title of a Premier Accredited Center by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH), International. TROT is proud to be the only Premier Accredited Center providing life-changing services for individuals in the Greater Tucson area.

Over the years, TROT has served thousands of individuals living with disabilities. It is dedicated to empowering the most vulnerable individuals to move in a world where capabilities surpass the sense of inability through the power of horses.

Our Mission:
To enrich the lives of people with special needs using equine assisted activities and therapies to improve physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.
